Rain Gauge Data Loggers Description
The iRIS 120 Rain Gauge Data Logger has been designed and
constructed for portable data collection in outdoor environments. The rain gauge data loggers are distinguished
by being fully waterproof to IP65 standards, self-powered, and compact whilst still featuring an LCD screen and capacitive
touchpad. The Rain Gauge Data Logger can be connected to a wide variety of sensors for remote data recording,
featuring two analog (0-5V, 0-20mA) data collection channels, two digital data acquisition channels, and a single digital
remote output. Connections to the rain gauge data loggers are available through a 3 foot multi-wire cable with
attached terminal strip.
The iRIS 120 Rain Gauge Data Loggers support a maximum of four virtual data recording channels, the sources of which
can be chosen from a range of physical digital or analog types. Every rain gauge data logger sensor input has two
associated alarms, each with separate trigger and reset levels. The rain gauge data logger alarm also has a duration,
which is used to delay the alarm trigger for analog data collection inputs and to determine the time over which pulse input
counters should be totalized (rainfall measurements, flow meter pulse etc). Rain Gauge Data Logger data is logged
in a four word (8 byte) compressed format which includes full date and time to fractions of a second.
The iRIS120 Rain Gauge Data Logger alarm(s) can be linked to the single digital output to activate external equipment
when one or more sensor alarm is activated.
