Portable Refractometers Product Description
|
The DR range of hand held portable refractometers was brought to market in 2011 to work in a few specific applications that the
OPTi portable refractometers could not. The hand held portable refractometer's
digital display of °Brix and the refractive index (RI) scale, are temperature compensated in accordance with the International
Commission for Uniform Methods of Sugar Analysis (ICUMSA). The portable refractometers were designed to be used as a
laboratory instrument, in the field, or in a factory environment. The easy to clean prism dish makes the portable refractometer
user friendly. The portable refractometer's case is chemical resistant and sealed against moisture ingress. The portable
refractometers have a 2 second reading time and can take over 150000 readings on one standard AA battery. Use the included soft
carrying case to protect your hand held portable refractometer during travel or storage.
DR "HiBrix" Portable Refractometers
Two different DR "HiBrix" portable refractometers are currently available providing you with temperature compensated sugar measurement
for samples above 54 °Brix such as jam, marmalade, sugar syrups and honey. HiBrix portable refractometers have an additional
scale offering the additional ability to express results in the refractive index scale with ATC based on sugar.
DR Wine Portable Refractometers
DR Wine hand held portable refractometers differ from the OPTi by offering a more extensive
choice of scales within a single refractometer.
DR portable refractometers are fully inspected prior to shipment and all models carry a one year warranty. All portable refractometers
are supplied with instruction manual, soft carrying case and Certificate of Conformity.
