Leanne M. Bjorkland of the Shamokin Creek Restoration Alliance (SCRA) submitted these photographs, which show one of their water level loggers installed inside of a USGS stream gauging station on Shamokin Creek in Weigh Scales, PA.  The USGS previously operated the gauging station, but when they were about to close it due to budget constraints, the SCRA took over.  The SCRA now maintains the station and is responsible for collecting flow data at the site.  To do this the SCRA uses a Global Water Water Level Logger, which was installed on Shamokin Creek to replace an old, wind up clock-driven, pen on rolled paper recorder.  The SCRA finds the Water Level Logger to be a very easy and convenient means of data collection.
